Blancpain watches are innovative and complicated, and incorporate centuries of skill and workmanship into each timepiece produced. In keeping with tradition, each Blancpain watch is built by a single watchmaker from beginning to end, earning the title as one of the most respected watch companies in the world.

Founded in 1735, Jehan-Jacques Blancpain declared that the company never made a quartz watch, and never will. Facing near extinction with the influx of quartz watches, the Blancpain brand disappeared for many years. Centuries later Blancpain would be revived with the discovery of old movements, and the release of their first quartz timepiece. Blancpain endured, with a limited production of fewer than 10,000 individually numbered timepieces per year.
