Breitling 44mm Crosswind Special 'Big Date' Chronograph - Discontinued Model - Ref A44355 - 44mm Stainless Steel - Boxes/Papers & As-New

The Crosswind Special was only made for about 2 production years and available in very limited quantities.  What makes the Crosswind Special different from the regular Crosswind models was the larger oversized 44mm case, the Double Digit oversized Big Date at 12:00 and the oversized rectangular (almost pear shaped) chronograph pushers.  These anomalies made the Crosswind Special model a desirable and much 'in-demand' model and always hard to find.  In 2006 or so the Crosswind line was replaced by the Chronomat Evolution.  These are also great watches and feature the oversized 44mm case size but they still lack the individuality and character, along with the massive oversized feel and heft of the Crosswind Special.
