Breitling Emergency Mission Quartz Chronograph - 45mm Stainless Steel (Pre-Owned)
This is hands down one of the coolest watches made by Breitling. It actually has an Emergency Distress Transmitter built into the watch! The transmitter broadcasts on the 121.5 MHz Aircraft Emergency Frequency.To activate you unscrew the crown at the bottom of the watch and a 4 foot antenna extends out. The signal reaches 90 nautical miles and in optimal conditions can easily reach more than 200 nautical miles. The frequency is monitored by the National Guard, Coast Guard and other emergency response teams, in an actual emergency these teams are dispatched to your location.
Another unique feature of the Breitling Emergency is that its movement is a COSC certified quartz movement. It is very rare for a quartz battery operated movement to be COSC certified. Breitling does this to ensure that the watch keeps incredibly accurate time. It also features a bi-directional rotating bezel, a solid case back and is water resistant to 330 feet.
