42mm Black PVD coated Stainless Steel & Titanium; Case made up of 3 pieces, sides of the case are PVD coated stainless steel with horizontal fluted finish in contrast to the titanium bezel, carriage and lugs. The case is then treated to a special process in which the case is heat treated and diffused with carbon, then bombarded with electrons. The result is a near impenetrable outer surface that is harder than standard stainless steel, making the cases highly resistant to impacts and scratching
