Just to clarify, this is essentially a Master Calendar Model with indications for Day, Date and Month--What makes this watch special is that the date is a Grande Guichet aka Big Date that is super legible and really pops!!!
In terms of case size, the 8880 is absolutely my favorite case size--it is large and oversized, feels great but not massive. Large enough to know you are wearing it but not so large so that it is clunky or cumbersome, and this watch would right at home worn with a suit or with a pair of jeans. It is just that versatile. The Casablanca or Curvex case sizes in ascending order from smallest to largest case size looks like this: 2852, 5850, 6850, 7850, 7880, 8080, 8880, and 9080 as the largest Casablanca case size. IMO the 8880 is just perfect for any occasion, sporty, yet still refined and timeless!!!!
