Panerai PAM 24 OOR Ltd Ed Luminor Submersible 44mm Stainless Steel

This Panerai PAM 24 OOR is a Limited Edition watch of only 120 individually numbered pieces produced. This watch is produced out of 120 left over cases that feature the older and now discontinued (at least on the automatic 44mm marina, power reserve and GMT models) screw changing strap system which utilizes the special Panerai slotted screwdriver.  If you were to purchase a brand new PAM24 today, you would be buying a K or L series and by design it would have the new style strap changing system which uses recessed spring loaded discs on underside of case to release the lug screw and thus no screwdriver is needed except you do need the special 2 piece stylus tool.  The PAM 24 OOR was assembled with new movement and the old style case and then released in only a very small and limited 1 time edition of 120 individually numbered pieces.  This is a brand new watch, newest most recently certified movement, however it is the older style strap changing system.  As an OOR, typically these watches are in very short supply and more so awarded to VIP customers and purchased by collectors as trophies at premiums to retail MSRP.  The bulk of the OOR watches are distributed and sold primarily thru the Panerai boutiques around the world.  The original style screw in strap system makes this a more collectible piece since all PAM24's released after the I series and starting with the J series has the new style lug screw removal system.
