There are some really cool features on this SPECIAL, hard-to-find TRANSITIONAL-VINTAGE Rolex GMT Brown Dial. First, these watches were made for a very short time, in the late 70's, early 80's, and there truly are SO FEW AROUND - AND IN THIS KIND OF CONDITION. This watch was manufactured well before the introduction of the GMT Master II in 1983, and therefore has some of the highly-desired features only available in the TRANSITIONAL VINTAGE series - including a plastic/acrylic crystal, Calibers 1575, 3075, and 3175, others...BUT SINCE THIS IS TRANSTIONAL - it also has the NEWER, QUICK date-set function...TRANSITIONAL meaning some of the old and some of the new - THINK THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS!
